Don Landis Presents An Olive Odyssey
at Jacuzzi Family Vineyards
February 13 -14, 2010. 10am-4pm
Experience the olive in old world style with Don Landis and a unique gathering of home olive curers offering samples of their handcrafted delicacies in the stunning Tuscan courtyard at Jacuzzi Family Vineyards. Sample award winning oils from The Olive Press and enjoy olive themed food by Glen Ellen's Olive and Vine Culinary Adventures paired with fabulous Jacuzzi Family Vineyards wines. Renowned olive expert, Louise Ferguson, Ph.D, a Pomologist from U.C. Davis, and technical editor of the popular and essential Olive Production Manual, will be available both days to talk olives and answer all your olive questions. Compare notes with olive tree experts from Olive Grove Nursery and MOPREP and learn about the important work of the Mission Olive Preservation Restoration Education Project.

On Saturday only, from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm, be a part of history as local KGO Radio host Gene Burns broadcasts his popular “Dining Around with Gene Burns” program live from the Jacuzzi Family Vineyards courtyard during the event.
On Sunday only between 1:00 and 4:00 pm, Judith Taylor, MD, a true historian of the olive in California, will share her wealth of knowledge about the olive and signing copies of her book The Olive in California; History of an Immigrant Tree. Sample Carneros Caves Cheeses and heirloom vegetables direct from the gardens of Greenstring Farm. A special selection of Jacuzzi Family Vineyards wines will be featured at a 15% discount for participants during this Olive Festival finale event. Olive Oyl & Focaccia at Cornerstone Sonoma

Celebrate Olive Season Finale in Sonoma's only heated olive grove, as Marvel Comics' own Olive Oyl serves you warm rosemary, olive oil and dried tomato focaccia, baked in our outdoor pizza oven. Olive Fun and Games at Larson Family Winery

Heritage Mission Olive Trees at 'An Olive Odyssey'
