THE OLIVE PRESS WINS FOUR GOLD MEDALS AT THE PRESTIGIOUS NEW YORK INTERNATIONAL OLIVE OIL COMPETITION
 
SONOMA, CA – MAY 2017 – The Olive Press was the only U.S. artisan olive oil producer to take home 4 gold medals at the prestigious New York Olive Oil Competition.
 
With over 900 entries from 27 countries, The New York International Olive Oil Competition draws more entries, from more counties, than any other olive oil competition.  Entries are placed into 24 categories including organic, non organic, blends and monovarietals, Northern and Southern Hemispheres and by intensity. A panel of the most renowned olive oil professionals from around the world then carefully judges each oil.
 
On April 27, 2017, the winners of the competition – the best olive oils in the world – were unveiled, and The Olive Press received 4 Gold Medals for their Arbequina, Picual, Italian Blend and Mission Extra Virgin Olive Oils.
 
The Olive Press, founded in 1995 as one of the first commercial olive oil makers in the United States, has received more awards than any other domestic olive oil company in North America. This includes top honors in the International Olive Oil Competition in New York City two years in a row.
