ARTS GUILD OF SONOMA PRESENTS
THE ANNUAL “SMALL BUT GRAND WORKS” EXHIBITION
May 3rd – May 29th, 2017
Reception: Friday May 5th from 5 to 7 PM
140 E.Napa Street, Sonoma, CA 95476
Art can be just as wonderful in small sizes as it is in larger formats. Each year the Arts Guild of Sonoma, in collaboration with the Sonoma Plein Air Foundation, distributes 50 canvases to Sonoma Valley’s high school art students, inviting them to exhibit their art in our annual “Small But Grand Works” event. We are privileged to be the gallery supporting art in our community and this special outreach program, especially during our 40th anniversary year.
The canvases are always wildly creative, as high school students often are. They showcase extraordinary talents in collage, drawings, paintings, photography and other styles.
Please join us at the Opening Reception on Friday May 5th from 5 to 7pm to congratulate the students for their efforts. We will have complimentary wine, soft drinks and appetizers for your enjoyment.
The following Arts Guild artists will also be showing their works in May:
Barbara Aliza, Tracy Child, Laura Culver, Irene Ehret, Zaza Fetterly, Christine Gonzalves, Kirk Hinshaw, Jackie Lee, Nancy Martin, Helen Mehl, Andrea Patri, Linda Semple, Lyn Swan, Thena Trygstad, Jennifer Whitfield, Susan Wiegardt, and Mark Zukowski.
Artworks presented every month are: ceramics, encaustics, jewelry, paintings, photography, pottery, sculptures and textiles.
