For years, the Sonoma Community Center, Gary Edwards, Sonoma's Rotary and many, many others have teamed up to serve over 400 free Thanksgiving dinners to local residents.
This year, with so much behind us and so much to do ahead, the event will be more important than ever before. Thanks to the City of Sonoma, we are able to host a large gathering off-campus at the Veterans Hall.
Gary and his head chef, Daniel Quijada, are the heart and brains behind the whole thing and in charge of the feast itself. Gary 'harvests' the food from a broad cross section of local growers, poultry farmers and restaurants, then Daniel and his team prepare it. It is unquestionably scrumptious!
It is a festive and lively event that does good on so many levels. And we are inviting you and yours to join us at this feel-good afternoon of gratitude that will make you even prouder to be a part of this community!
