Cleve Jones is the man behind the LGBT movement. He was mentored by San Francisco Supervisor, Harvey Milk, co-founded the San Francisco AIDS Foundation, and was the inspiration for the creation of the AIDS Memorial Quilt, which remains the largest community arts project in the world. He led the National March for Equality in Washington, DC in 2009, and his memoir, When We Rise, was made into an 8-hour mini-series that premiered on ABC in February, 2017.
