Opening Artist Reception Showcases Vineyards in Sonoma
Sonoma Grille presents “Unforgettable Sonoma Vineyards”
Sunday, May 6, 2018, 3:00 – 5:00 PM 165 W Napa St., Sonoma
Sonoma Grille hosts an opening artist reception for acclaimed photographer, Kent Sorensen. Most of his collection of vineyard photographs on display was taken in Kenwood. Nima Sherpa, owner of the popular steak and seafood restaurant, will open the entire restaurant and outside patio for the reception, with complimentary wine and hors d’oeuvres for guests.
Kent Sorensen was first introduced to the wonders of photography at the age of seven when his father first allowed him into his darkroom. Since then, a camera has been his reliable companion—even during his days as CEO of a biotech firm in Silicon Valley or CEO of housing company that shipped homes to the Far East Asia market. He was honored when his portrait photograph of Curtis Roosevelt (grandson of FDR) was selected to hang in the FDR Presidential Library in Hyde Park, NY. Since coming to Sonoma in 2008, Sorensen has spent countless hours meandering through the vineyards in the valley to photograph their stunning beauty.
