Now in its 20th year, the Sonoma International Film Festival (March 29 - April 2, 2017) takes place in the heart of Sonoma Wine Country and will feature more than 90 hand-selected films including independent features, documentaries, world cinema,  and short films. All films are shown at intimate venues within walking distance of Sonoma's historic plaza. The Festival is dedicated to promoting independent film, supporting filmmakers around the world and inspiring film lovers.

This unique 5-day event offers world-class cuisine from local artisans and exceptional wine from Sonoma vintners. Renowned filmmakers, industry leaders and celebrities such as Bruce Willis, Meg Ryan, Susan Sarandon, the beloved Robin Williams and Danny Glover have walked the festival red carpet and enjoyed its intimate ambiance.

SONOMA, CA (November 16, 2016) – The Sonoma International Film Festival (SIFF) is celebrating 20 years of film, food, wine and spirits Wednesday, March 29 to Sunday, April 2, 2017. The five-day event takes place in the heart of Northern California's Wine Country and will feature more than 100 hand-selected films including independent features, documentaries, world cinema, and short films. All films are shown at intimate venues within walking distance of Sonoma's historic plaza. The Festival is dedicated to promoting independent film, supporting filmmakers around the world and inspiring film lovers.

Returning this year is the SIFF Village, a popular hospitality and party venue added to the festival this past festival year.  Located at the eastern lot of Sonoma’s Veterans Hall, just off First Street East, SIFF Village includes the festive Backlot Tent.  Returning to the Backlot Tent from last year will be the daily Happy Hour, which features local musicians, premium wines and themed cocktails, a sampling of Sonoma’s finest food trucks, and new this year, the Buywine.com Wine Lounge. During the evening the Backlot Tent will host themed parties over the course of the festival and live music.

 

Pass Information:
The best way to experience the Festival and have access to all films is by getting a SIFF pass. SIFF can be enjoyed at different levels. Currently Cinema Passes are $225 and Soiree Passes are $625.  Prices will increase January 1, 2017 to $275 for Cinema and $675 for Soiree. These passes make the perfect stocking stuffers for the upcoming holidays.
