From Saturday, November 1, through Sunday, December 14, the Sonoma Valley Museum of Art (SVMA) will present “Treasure Artists of Sonoma: Featuring the Work of Ray Jacobsen.” The exhibition will comprise an assortment of paintings, sculptures, and other works by the 28 Sonoma Treasure artists selected each year since 1983, as well as by the 2008 honoree to be named later this month. Paintings by the late Ray Jacobsen, 1997 Sonoma Treasure artist, will form the centerpiece of the exhibition. Also appearing will be a tribute in letters and images to the late Dr. Gregor Goethals, artist and educator.
