2010 Fall Garden Tour

Wednesday, September 15 2010, 10:00am - 2:00pm
Three Spectacular Sonoma Gardens will be on tour showing all of their fall season glory!

Stone Edge Farm is dedicated to organic horticulture, producing award-winning olive oil.  Ancient Oak, Bay, and Buckeye trees create shade for outdoor sculptures and intimate gathering spots.  The property includes Zen house and lap pool, an observatory with a giant telescope and autobarn with a museum quality classic convertible collection.  On view are exquisite examples of cars from the five major classic car manufacturing countries:  England, Italy, France, Germany, and the USA.

Shanel is a 362-acre country estate of oak covered woodlands, vineyards, and meadows carpeted with wildflowers.  The gardens surrounding the house, guesthouse, pool and equestrian center were designed by Mai Arbegast.  Thousands of trees and shrubs have been planted.  In addition, there is a greenhouse for tropical plants, a fruit orchard, raised vegetable beds, and herb gardens.  The terrace where refreshments will be served has a panoramic view of the Sonoma Valley.

Quarryhill Botanical Garden dedicated to flora of Asia, changes with each passing day.  Conclude the tour by sharing a glass of wine in the arbor, and meandering through the garden to admire the fruit and foliage of early autumn.

All tours begin and end at Quarryhill.  Arrive 30 minutes prior to scheduled departure.  Vans will leave on time.  Tours at 10am, 11am, 1pm and 2pm.
Space is very limited, RSVP by September 1, 2010.
