Annadel 2010 is a two-day festival taking place on September 11 and 12, 2010. The festival features a variety of recreational activities at Spring Lake Regional Park and Annadel State Park, showcasing some of the amazing outdoor opportunities we have in Sonoma County.
California State Parks and Sonoma County Regional Parks are teaming up for this event. The festival’s purpose is to share the value of supporting local, regional and state parks with money and time. Our community can continue to keep parks open, safe and clean by paying park fees, purchasing a park pass or making a donation. An investment of your time can help maintain and improve parks. Proceeds from this event will fund trail improvements in the parks. Park representatives will be available to share opportunities to get involved with these projects.

“It has been a dream of mine for a long time to organize an event in our most beloved local parks; one that underscores what they need from their community of users in order to survive,” says event director Carlos Perez of Bike Monkey, the producer of Levi Leipheimer’s King Ridge GranFondo. “What’s even more exciting is that it gives us the opportunity to attract the interest of volunteers, and boosts a much-needed stewardship component, and that benefits everybody.”

The event will kick off with timed running and mountain biking events on Saturday. Sunday will be underscored by equestrian and youth activities including “The Great Outdoor Treasure Hunt” – a non-timed exploration of Spring Lake and Annadel that is fun for the whole family. All events start and finish at the large festival area in Spring Lake’s Oak Knolls picnic area, which will feature guest speakers, live music and outdoor retail exhibitors. There is a $6 per car parking fee at Spring Lake Regional Park.
