Walk, hike, bike ride, horseback ride, bird watch, take pictures, paint, picnic, relax, learn, enjoy nature! The main attraction to the Park is certainly the man and the legend - Jack London, famous for his literary accomplishments as well as his dramatic exploits, exotic travels and adventures. This history is encapsulated in either a short half-mile loop that takes less than an hour or a more leisurely two-hour walk that affords visitors a chance to see the historic buildings and exhibits highlighting London’s life, including his innovative experiments with methods of sustainable farming. You can explore on your own or take a tour led by a docent, which offers an even deeper look into Jack London’s life and times. While the history is an important draw, many are enticed simply by the breath-taking natural resources there for all to experience.
