Take an easy stroll once around the beautiful and historic Sonoma Plaza with our local historian, Amy Margret. Hear the colorful stories of the town and its founders as we follow in their footsteps.
From Spanish rule through Mexican independence, as San Francisco itself was nothing more than a rugged military outpost, Sonoma was the very center of California's rapid progress. Starting with the mission's founding in 1821, we'll take you through those action-packed years leading up to California statehood and the Gold Rush and introduce you to the stories of the fascinating people that made it all happen!
The tour meets at the base of the steps at the Sonoma Valley Visitors Bureau, 453 First St. East, Sonoma, CA 95476.
Tour lasts just under one hour, starts at 10am, 11am, 1pm, and 2pm. For reservations, please call (707) 933-7782.
We look forward to seeing you!
