At Taste of the Himalayas, we blend Nepalese, Tibetan and Indian dishes, referred to as Himalayan cuisine. Our menu is a handpicked selection of favorite dishes from regions of Nepal, Tibet and India. Its "authentic, yet modern Himalayan cuisine" as our Chef/Owner Pemba T. Sherpa calls it.
About the Chef, Pemba T. Sherpa...
Pemba was born and raised in Nepal, and went to school in India. He came to the United States for college where he completed a bachelor of science in business. After college, he moved to Sonoma to open a restaurant, where he realized his passion for cooking. He attended the Professional Culinary Institute in Campbell and had the privilege to work under chef Michael Chiarello and chef Nick Ritchie in opening Yountville’s Bottega. With that experience, he opened Taste of the Himalayas in Sausalito in 2010. He moved to Napa to open Taste of the Himalayas at the Old Adobe in 2011. He has a loyal group of patrons who appreciate his delicious modern Himalayan cuisine.

We provide a warm, enjoyable experience for a wide array of occasions from casual gatherings to formal parties. Depending on your preferences, needs, and the number of guests, we can set up our private room for group dining customized for groups as small as 10, to as large as 45 people. We also do catering with all of our dishes.
