Come make and print unique designs using nature!

Australian dyer, India Flint, first used the term "eco-printing". It is a process of transferring color from plant material onto paper or fiber using heat from a simmering bath.

We will bundle paper with local plants and each participant will leave with exquisite papers to frame or transform.

 

Kate Ortolano is a Teaching Artist and Co-Founder of Art Escape. Before settling in Sonoma 36 years ago, Kate was a national trainer in classroom management based on the work of Alfred Adler. Her community involvement includes: the co-founder of the Flowery School garden, past president of Sonoma Skate Society, and founder of the Family Education Center in Sonoma. She studied at the San Francisco Center for the Book and continues to produce and teach art.
