Create Peruvian-inspired baskets.

In this workshop we will build miniature handwoven baskets inspired by those created in Peru. 

 

Elizabeth graduated from Tulane University in 2014 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Painting & Printmaking. Since then she has worked as the Arts Program Coordinator for Boys & Girls Clubs of Sonoma Valley, a teaching artist for SVMA, an English and Art teacher in Thailand, and an instructor and program support for Art Escape. Elizabeth has a passion for traveling and teaching art to students through a colorful and multicultural lens.

Kate Ortolano is a Teaching Artist and Co-Founder of Art Escape. Before settling in Sonoma 36 years ago, Kate was a national trainer in classroom management based on the work of Alfred Adler. Her community involvement includes: the co-founder of the Flowery School garden, past president of Sonoma Skate Society, and founder of the Family Education Center in Sonoma. She studied at the San Francisco Center for the Book and continues to produce and teach art.
