This workshop is a casual instruction about the origins of flowers, their role in ecosystems, and how to draw them while enjoying an afternoon of guided art exercises. The day will be spent drawing wildflowers from observation with feedback and pointers from instructors and fellow students. All materials are provided.

Topics include:
• Two methods for sketching from observation
• The names and functions of different parts of flowers, such as sepals, bracts, pistal, etc.
• The relationship of flowers and pollinators at the landscape level
• How to play with graphite, pen, and watercolor methods for adding depth to your drawings
