Join us for an informal walk-in tasting of 3 wines in our Sonoma tasting room ($25pp), reserve an in-depth private tasting of 4 wines with handcrafted nibbles in our lofted wine salon ($40pp) or attend one of our monthly maker workshops.
Abbot’s Passage, a new project from sixth-generation vintner Katie Bundschu, is a collection of small-lot, co-fermented field blends sourced from storied vineyards within Sonoma and beyond.
The name pays homage to an abbot from Mount La Salle Christian Brothers who, according to local legend, trekked weekly from Napa into Sonoma along an ancient native american footpath – a wild, heavily wooded ridgeline passing through the current Bartholomew Park Vineyard – to reach his favorite watering hole.
Leveraging 30 years of single-vineyard sourcing, this concept represents our family’s pioneering pursuit of discovery – our quest to survey the peaks and valleys of Sonoma to discover its most distinctive vineyard sites from which to make inimitable, character-rich field blends.
Our collection includes five distinctive field blends from singular vineyards, each highlighting a unique dirt and climate story. Each wine bears a unique name reflective of its style, origins and provenance. Visit our historic red barn just off Sonoma Square to experience our wine tasting salon, shop unique retail items or partake in a maker workshop.
