Sonoma's Late Nights Take Flight: Wineries Open Late on Fridays in Sonoma Valley
Sonoma, CA — This summer, Sonoma Valley evenings are getting a flavorful new twist with Friday Night Flights, a new program inviting locals and visitors to enjoy late-night wine tasting and special corkage deals at participating restaurants Friday nights throughout June, July, and August.
Organized by the Sonoma Valley Chamber of Commerce in partnership with the Sonoma Valley Visitors Bureau and the Sonoma Valley Vintners & Growers, Friday Night Flights showcases the best of Wine Country’s relaxed hospitality, exceptional wines, and thriving dining scene — all during the golden twilight hours that make Sonoma unforgettable.
Each Friday Features a Rotating List of Wineries and Restaurants
Selected wineries throughout Sonoma Valley will extend their hours, offering casual tasting experiences into the evening, while nearby restaurants will waive or reduce corkage fees when guests bring in bottles purchased from participating wineries.

For years, residents and visitors alike have been wanting fun and creative new ways to explore our amazing wineries,” said Mark Bodenhamer, CEO of the Sonoma Valley Chamber of Commerce. “This event series gives people a chance to try new wine venues get a great deal on dinner afterwards. It’s a perfect Sonoma Friday night.”
This is a great way to experience later tastings at wineries like Gehricke, Jacuzzi Family Vineyards and Hamilton Family Wines, while also exploring great Sonoma Valley restaurants like the celebrated Songbird Parlour in Glen Ellen or the chic Layla at MacArthur Place in Sonoma.

"Friday Night Flights encourages people to discover new tasting rooms, pick up a bottle to enjoy with dinner, and explore Sonoma’s incredible food and wine culture in a relaxed, welcoming environment,” says Tim Zahner, CEO of the Sonoma Valley Visitors Bureau. “It’s another reason to stay out, slow down, and savor the evening.”
The program was designed not only to increase foot traffic in the evenings, but also to offer a fresh take on Wine Country hospitality. Visitors are encouraged to build their own itinerary, explore participating wineries, and bring a favorite bottle to a featured restaurant for a true Sonoma BYOB experience — with reduced or waived corkage fees at select locations.
No Tickets Required
Friday Night Flights is open to the public and requires no tickets or reservations, though individual wineries may charge standard tasting fees. Corkage policies vary by restaurant. Participants are encouraged to plan ahead and drink responsibly.
