Blue Wing Adobe Trust
Our Mission
The mission of the Blue Wing Adobe Trust includes the preservation, restoration and adaptive reuse of the Blue Wing Inn Adobe, historic buildings in the Sonoma State Historic Park on the Plaza, and other historic sites in Sonoma Valley.
Through partnerships and innovative strategies, as well as working with the State of California and the local community, our mission assures that these historic sites remain vibrant and thriving parts of our city and county for the benefit of present and future generations.
Board of Directors
Patricia Cullinan, President
Patricia Cullinan is a General Engineering Contractor and the President of both the Blue Wing Adobe Trust and the Sonoma Valley Historical Society. Her experience includes general engineering projects for the State of California, local governments, and private parties. Patricia has a lifelong interest in the history of the Sonoma area, as well as profound knowledge and appreciation for farming from her family’s agricultural background in Sonoma County.
Ned Forrest
As principal architect at Forrest Architects for over 30 years, Ned has completed several restorations of historic properties and has been the architect of several agricultural facilities and their infrastructure. Local restoration work in the Sonoma Historic District includes the 1910 Oddfellows Hall near the Plaza, and the 1847 Ray Adobe, his own home, which lies cater-cornered to the Mission Bell Farm. He and his wife have owned horses for over twenty years and are part of a broad network of available training and management personnel.
David Gould
David Gould is a retired California State Parks District Superintendent. During his career with State Parks, he oversaw California State Park Districts such as Columbia and the Sonoma/Marin District that stretches from Candlestick Park, to Mount Diablo, to Mendocino County. All sites included numerous historic buildings and diverse landscapes and ecologies. David is also a Deacon at St. Francis Solano Catholic Church.
Will Honeybourne
Will Honeybourne is a partner in an investment firm and a businessman with worldwide experience. He is a graduate of Imperial College, London University, and has served on multiple US and international company boards. Will and his wife Tamera have been restoring the historic Nicholas Carriger property in Sonoma with buildings dating from the late 1840s.
Kelso Barnett
Kelso Barnett was born and raised in Sonoma. He earned a bachelor’s degree in history from the University of California, Berkeley and graduate degrees in business and real estate development from the University of Southern California. He has professional experience in market analysis and acquiring adaptive re-use assets and is a licensed real estate broker. Kelso served on the City of Sonoma Design Review & Historic Preservation Commission from 2010-2017 and is a former City of Sonoma Planning Commissioner and former City Council member.
